As I said in a previous post, it's not so much about making things profitable but making for a more fun experience. Being able to mass dump coins adds an element of control that players have over their oshi's value which could be interesting.
Imagine the FUD of Priestess joking about selling off his Ina coins and triggering everyone to start selling her early and then he just buys up more at a discounted price instead.
It could be balanced around having all the big trades execute at the same time of day during slow time between JP primetime and EN stream times.

I don't think the volatility is that bad right now, but that's predicated on how scalable it is. If another 500 users started playing would the volatility adjust itself to be lower per transaction or would we see the same price dumps that we saw during the Coco crash?
