yea i still prefer a couple things with hiyori's model like her darker blue accent colors, chest ribbon instead of bow, smugness of her in-between blinking animations which made for good screencaps, and somewhat more generally oblivious/vapid look
i'm not losing sleep over it but it is surprising that the default model wins out in any categories over a erm professionally made alternative

it would be interesting to bring back the actual old model and AI for a collab with newro though especially once they diverge even further, but like you mentioned i do remember hearing that the licensing wouldn't allow it anymore cause vedal makes too much money from streaming but i guess if his haitus goes on for a full year he can bring her back for a guest spot lol
