i believe it's more of as an hierarchy of reference if there are multiple people of the same thread. since most of us are solo it wouldnt affect much.

BUT it will be great for collabs and cross-thread projects. we all have lurk on more than one thread. and some of us have seen stuffs the others havent when we lurked there.
