He gets a lot of hate around here but I have to insist that the rice prank he did a couple years ago is one of the greatest things a vtuber ever did.
See he told his chat beforehand that he was going to wash his rice with soap and then pretend to eat it, when in reality he had a second bowl of clean rice already prepared. But when he did it people thought it was actually real. He singlehandedly called out what a sham the entire vtuber community is by revealing that most people, not the fans nor the vtubers themselves, don't watch streams, don't even watch clips, basically don't do anything except talk about vtubers on social media. And he got away with it because he stayed committed to the bit, so to this day you still have people who are essentially threadwatchers making fun of him for washing rice with soap.

This is giving me Amour Sucré Kentin flashbacks but 100 times worse.

A lot of people claim to have problems with Kyo but nobody has ever pointed out the biggest problem with him which is that I was trying to remember the first name of the SMT artist Kaneko, and my mind kept telling me "Kyo" at least five times before I finally remembered it's Kazuma.

Whoa... Alban and Sera is like Enna and Kyo but pure... Two people who met each other through Nijisanji and became best friends because of how similar they are.

I would understand people finding Kyo annoying if he was actively malicious, but I think the whole appeal of Kyo is that he acts in this smug, overly confident manner only to immediately make a fool of himself shortly after, whether it's failing in a game or getting verbally owned by one of the other livers. He plays what could be described as a Pekora-esque character, and it suits him well.

Kyo may not be winning a Nobel Prize any time soon, but he's definitely got some of the most street smarts in all of NijiEN. He knows better than to get involved in something like this because he knows how easily it could go wrong. Think back to his stream where Enna where she was saying some questionable things and he immediately tried to shut it down and said he'd explain off stream. That wasn't even the first time that happened, I remember a stream that probably no one here watched because it was just Kyo and Luca, and Luca was talking about some pedophile guy's YouTube channel, clearly completely oblivious about the incident and only knowing about memes. But Kyo was in the know so he made a point of steering the conversation away from that and once again saying he'd explain off stream. Ironically enough Enna and Luca actually are exactly the kind of people who would do this, they are people who don't think things through and see themselves as invincible. There are certainly a few others in Nijisanji I can think of who fit that description but Kyo is not one of them.

Put yourselves in his shoes: If you were actually meeting your oshi and were at the top of the world, and you knew you could make the people /here/ go apeshit, would you give her an indirect kiss and then not lean on it? Compare his ship with Ren to any other fujo baiting in the branch. It has to be the most stilted acting I've seen since TakaMori crashed and burned. And the moment something else came around, he's pretty much dropped it.

Not just that but Kyo is one of the least sexual people in NijiEN. Does he even have female fans at all? The guy makes Shu look passionate.
