Here's how most NDA breaches happen

>Fag talks about confidential info to friend
>Friend posts confidential info on the internet
>Most people think it's a rrat, nobody takes confidential info seriously
>Nonetheless, it makes some waves and someone from related company(ies) eventually reads about it
>They notice that somebody knows confidential info, it's too detailed to be a coincidence, meaning there has been a leak
>They narrow suspects down by figuring out who knew inside the company(ies)
>Everyone gets summoned in a meeting
>Tell there has been a leak
>Ask people to come clean if they told friend
>Ask them if they know the user who posted the leak (usually it's on a forum and there's a username)
>Eventually, culprit gets found and terminated

Leaking info to someone and then having that someone directly snitch to the related company basically never happens. Especially if they work in the same industry. Company would want nothing to do with the snitch as well from that point on. 99% of the times, companies realize there has been a leak because it gets posted on the internet (and while nobody takes it too seriously among the thousand rrats, they know it's real.)
