To be fair nobody had any reason to expect SF6 to be as good as it was.
SF is SF, it's always gonna be divert a lot of attention just because of that, but what's remarkable about SF6 is that not only did it blow V out of the water, it BTFO every other game in the current market in nearly every area (outside of core gameplay since that's mostly personal preference). Even people from a lot of anime fighters drifted to SF6 because it just has some of the best currently available netplay, you can actually fucking play the game, and it plays good, and in hindsight a surprising amount of games weren't actually providing that.
