One thing I dislike in the remakes is how they changed the aesthetics of the Flying Fortress to be in the clouds instead of space.
In the original you get there and realize that you're on a space station, and "Sky Castle" is just the closest thing the characters are able to use to describe it since it is so wildly out of context for what they know of the world.
