yeah ONI (the spooks of halo) needed a bunch of child soldiers becuase the colonies were getting uppity
so they went and kidnapped 75 children to be forged into super soldiers
but, just to hammer home how dickish they wanted to be, they had the truly fantastic idea to replace these children with flash-clone copies of them so nobody would notice
the kicker being that flash cloning technology is kinda shitty, so these children invariable died to genetic diseases after 10 or so years
there are very very few times a spartan managed to meat their clone, it didn't go great
