Do you think you could break that down for me in simple man speak?
- I've tried using the upscaling in the Extras tab, didn't produce usable results, just increased the resolution but didn't actually change the size of pixels if that makes sense, artificial size inflation.

- I also tried using the SD Upscale script in img2img, but that "tiles" the gen in a weird way and it ends up looking like picrel where every tile doesn't talk to eachother and it just becomes an incoherent mess

- I've also tried adding "upscale" to the postprocessing tab in settings and running that, game the the image in my complaining post.

- I've also tried just doing the img2img at my desired end resolution, but then the sampling is weird, and because it's done using the sampler and not upscaler, I lose a lot of the composition and it also sucks.

- I've also tried generating the image at what would be my regular pre-hires resolution, and then running an inpaint over it, but again the lack of upscaler choice and having to use a sampler makes it come out completely fried.

So please, if you got any idea how to make it behave like hires fix does, I'm more than willing to go through whatever hoops you throw at me.

Sorry I actually meant to reply when I saw it, but got distracted.
She's ever so slightly on the light side, but not too far from intended, since she is a light-skinned darkie by her model standards.
I personally like making her darker
