Shu and Shiva pact theory:

They have a lot of similarities both in design and name (Shu = Shiva).
Shiva = 'The Auspicious One'

Could it be that one is the benefactor form and the other one is destroyer?

I have a theory that Ike is the one that tries to save the world when Shu made a pact with Shiva (or he is incarnation of Shiva?) to destroy the world.
It is unknown for now how Ike got his time-traveling demiurge powers, but we see that Shu and Ike came from different backgrounds and have pacts with different deities.
