I really enjoyed Sonny's outfit reveal stream today! The reveal itself seemed a little scuffed and he absolutely blazed through all the content he'd prepared in advance like a nervous idiot, but the little TSA skit at the beginning hit some really funny notes ('I can't put my hands up! I'm a vtuber!') while being so silly that it had that spontaneous, off-the-cuff natural feeling to it. The casual outfit is stylish and well-designed with nice shading, and even the flat hat hair is growing on me - but honestly, I don't feel like it gave him much of a concept to work with and it doesn't seem like he was given much time to prepare either. Somehow, the results still seem like the classic Sonny experience to me.

Thanks for listening to my TED talk. It's been a long time, but I'm still happy for Sonny. Glad his mama figured out how to do toggles, too.

It's a pretty short section in the beginning of his recent zatsudan. It's about 20 minutes in if you're looking for it.
I wouldn't say that he's leaning into being moe as a crutch. Being cute and comfy is every /a/non's dream. But he did talk about how he struggles with knowing what to talk about and being anxious in social situations, and he's alluded a few times to not understanding people or people's feelings. He's really just an autist who isn't used to streaming for this kind of audience, and I hope he grows in a way that he's comfortable with and that's true to himself.
