Because it's not really about unicorns, that's more of a boogeyman used to support the opposing argument.
The real battle being fought here is between the ones who want HoloEN to stay predominantly a girl-only club as HoloJP and the ones who want to see it become it more promiscuous a la Nijisanji or really any other group, pretty much.
Most of the CGDCT supporters don't really care about the girls sparsely interacting with males, but will care if it becomes a common recurrence.
That's why members like Ina or FBK or even Towa who relatively often collabs with males for specific reasons (FPS community) are not really considered part of the problem.

Agree on this one too, seeing some people still high in the leaderboard after months of inactivity is pretty demoralizing.
