Many ways to represent this kind of culture in your country. Kobo first and foremost could also have aspects of a sort of fertility or love goddess. And bride kidnapping could be widely practiced in /~ehe/. It really depends on the initial concept and image you have for it. For a pastoral culture I think bride kidnapping fits the bill.
