See that's what makes MTG fun... You can explore so many archetypes to build around. You find what you like. Usually each Block has 3 releases to it spaced out over a few months, and they center around thematic ideas/mechanics per color/mix of colors within that standard format. When you get more familiar with how it works within a single block you can explore older blocks or game modes that are more legacy. Some decks focus on things like meta mechanics (milling/decking out your opponent, control [controlling your opponents], ramping [gaining a mana advantage to outpace your opponent], etc), and colors also have archetypes around them, some of which are more clearly defined (Green and Red, most of Blue) and others which are a bit more nebulous (Black and White are the worst at this). Honestly? Just play until you find what you like. Also this guy's videos are good for describing the colors and stuff while being funny:

There actually was an MMA fight on a big screen, my eyes were basically glued there the whole time. I just want to go to a normal bar where the girls are normal, I don't care if they don't talk to me or look at me it's better than them grinding on me or whatever

it isn't usually bad, like i don't feel a malicious presence. the worst that's happened to me is one time i got woken up by my door shaking like something was slamming into it. it only happened once and i couldn't see anything through the peephole though it took a while for the adrenaline to go down enough for me to get out of bed and look. i live on the second floor in the middle of the building so it would have been weird for an animal or a tweaker or something to make it here and randomly single out my door from the others, but also a recurring weird thing that happens to me is random strangers walking up to me, giving some cryptic advice like an oblivion npc, and then walking away.
