Ogey Calibur Tournament

Hello and welcome to the first ever Ogey Calibur Tournament.

This will be the only thread made to announce the sign ups. Afterwards, once the thread dies, please refer to /fig/ for any questions or concerns.

Sign ups for the Ogey Calibur Tournament are officially open. You may sign up here: https://forms.gle/5DoavgY9vkttzK2p6

>What is this?
A board wide tournament, similar to lord of the board hosted by /fig/ for their first year anniversary which will take place with in Soul Calibur 6.
>Who can enter?
Any thread can submit an entry but will be judged similarly to how LoTB handled it. "We may decline an entry if they are submitting in bad faith, if their thread has struggled to stay on the catalog for multiple months, or if their thread is banned on /vt/."
>What is the format of the tournament?
Simply put, the format I am doing is 10 groups of 5. Meaning 50 threads may enter the tournament. They will be split between the Calibur groups and the Edge groups. In the form you are asked a question about who would you like to be teamed up with. Answer accordingly, so we may group you with threads of your choice. Please take the time to ask those threads as well if they would like to team up. If left blank we will choose for you. We also encourage any threads to team up similarly to divegrass teams such as "/manstars/ or /skynetFC/" for single Souls to represent the multiple threads if you so choose. Besides that it will follow a typical bracket style tournament with pools, Qualifiers, losers, semis, finals and grand finals.
>I don't know how to play fighting games or know anything about fighting games
Well good, not even /fig/ knows how to play fighting games. This is simply for entertainment purposes of watching 2 AIs beat the shit out of each other and watch their clothes explode.
>"What do I need to do to sign up my thread?"
Simply fill out the form accordingly, and we'll reach you with your choice of contact.
>Do I need to get proof of interest, like divegrass?
Due to the cap on the tournament, while we won't be actively looking for "poi" I do advise you to discuss with your thread thoroughly as there will only be 50 entrants.
>How do I make a fighter for the tournament?
In the form there is a number of questions for you to describe and talk about your threads "Soul". The term used for the custom characters is referred to as souls. There are varying play styles that I have link in the form along with videos linking to items and how they look on both genders. Do keep in mind some races do have aspects that may not be customized/allowed or exclusive to the race. Example being the lizard man has virtually no outfits or headgear. >Do I need to own Soul Calibur 6 for this?
No it is not needed for you to enter or to make your Soul. Though if you do own Soul Calibur 6 you may follow the guides here to export your soul and send it to us to be implemented into the game.

>I love doing autistic things like this, can I help?
Yes please just contact us in /fig/ if you wish to help
>When will entries close?
The form will close on April 19th, 2024, or when we have gathered enough entrants.
