Depends. I just have this itch to do something with my hands because both my work and pastimes are mostly me looking at a screen and typing, and because I used to play with bricks as a child.
If you do something "real" as an adult like gardening or maintaining your car/house/bike, obviously those things are going to be more satisfying. But if you don't, you could try buying a chinese knockoff brick set or two. That way, you'll get the feel for it without it biting into your wallet too much.
