/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

Why is it that Vtuber fans are so bitter and nasty when the actual Vtubers are so nice and positive? All the hololives/mems/stars/whatevers ever do is say nice things to each other and their fans and do happy, positive stuff like singing and gaming and cooking and whatever, it's almost like watching sesame street or something, and their fans go around putting so much effort into hurting each other's feelings it's astonishing even on 4chan. Niji vtubers are a little sassier, I guess, but I literally can't think of a single time I've seen any of them be outright mean, either.
I always assumed the reason people liked Vtubers in the first place was because being around them (or simulating being around them on a stream) makes you happy. Why not try to imitate that? The worst that could happen is that people might think you're a little awkward, but clearly trying to be nice, and usually people will at least tolerate somebody who's obviously trying to be good company.

I kinda don't want to watch this FaunaxSana collab...
