I feel like too few people mentioned solo Polka. Kana/Azki was also a great one that kind of flew under the radar. Miko's song was a banger, she caught too much flak for the autotuning and not enough recognition for the rest.

This being /vt/, Ayame's solo performance got drowned by shitposting even though it was a standout.

Mori's absurd model caught too much attention and sort of diverted focus away from the fact that Red is a great song and that her singing has improved a lot over the past year.

They are the only company in China that has any clout with the CCP because of their ownership and running of Weibo, the CCP equivalent of Google/Facebook/Spotify/Amazon/Instagram/Twitter/Banking Industry/GPS Tracker.
They were the only ones who didn't have to follow the party line on that front, because if the CCP ever fought too hard against Tencent, the entire party would probably start falling down as they know they don't have the ability to run the Firewall without Weibo's centralization, let alone the Social Credit system.
