I'm gonna be real with you for a minute kadet. I've been in and out of hospitals because of previous suicide attempts and the ONLY thing that's helped keep me sane is having a plan. I don't just mean some general "I'm gonna hang myself" bullshit, I mean organizing and preparing everything so that if tomorrow I decide life just sucks an I can't stand it anymore, I can do it. Having that plan in place is important because you know that no matter what happens--whether you decide to try living for one more day or not-- the plan is there in place, and you can just go.
