I despise Layna. She's a haughty princess that wants everything handed to her on a platter. She's too spoiled and selfish. She's a lying, scheming, backstabber that doesn't know a thing about loyalty. In reality, the only reason Layna's such a popular character is because of how absolutely pathetic she is. She's a ditzy, self-obsessed princess who thinks the world revolves around her. People only stick with her because they want to be nice to her.

I'm not saying this to be mean, I'm just stating facts. As far as I'm concerned, Layna is nothing but an annoying brat that the vtuber community would do better without. She is plainly a bad person, and I know most people wouldn't disagree. You might say, "What gives you the right to say such things?" You may also say, "How can you claim such things about a person you've never met?" I understand your reservations. However, if you think for a second that Layna would be able to defend her actions, you'd be wrong.

Layna is a complete narcissist that never considers anyone but herself. That's why she cancels her streams on a whim. That's why she whines about having a bad day instead of powering through it. She can't fathom that other people are collectively sacrificing more for her than she's sacrificing for them. In short, Layna is a bratty little girl who gets off on the attention she receives too much to be genuine to her audience.

The only thing that Layna does well is complain. She complains about her chronic illness, her audience, her diet, her jet lag, other people's opinions, and her friends. She whines about the fact that everyone around her is in a relationship, but refuses to take a single step to make a connection of her own. And, when it comes to her audience, she just flat out doesn't care. She'll say, "You can't understand my struggles. You don't have the same problems as me." That's a lie. No matter how different your life is, there are always things you can relate to. But, instead of actually talking about the real problems she faces, Layna tries to play the victim so that everyone will sympathize with her and shower her with attention.

In reality, Layna just hates the idea of taking responsibility for her actions. She'll say, "But I'm just a person people like watching. It's not like I have a responsibility to do my job or anything." That's the exact mentality of someone who uses the excuse, "I'm not to blame," and it's the worst thing you can say to a person. People need to feel responsible for their actions. When you refuse to own up to your mistakes, it just gives others the impression that they can do the same.

If you think I'm being mean, then I'm sorry. But I'm not trying to insult Layna, I'm just making an observation about her character. As an audience member, I've always wondered if Layna would act this way if her audience wasn't around to support her. I can't imagine anyone behaving like this if they were held accountable for their actions. If that makes me sound like a jerk, then I'm sorry. But it's the truth. When I say Layna is a narcissist, I'm not trying to insult her. I simply think Layna is a terrible person. She is the poster child for entitled people that think they are owed everything.
