"I feel like a whore"

That moment might be one of my favorite vei moments of the year. The reason I love anime is because it's one of the mediums that perfected metamodernism, specifically the unification of the 2 extremes regarding sexual content. On one hand you have the sexualisation of everyday situations, just waking up the MC has a high chance of having a female childhood friend or sister naked in his bed, there's constant nudity and fan service. But at the same time, something innocent like holdings hands is a massive deal, not to mention a kiss which is usualy such a big thing that it's reserved for the final scene of the anime. The west outside of internet communities centered around anime struggles with metamodernity a lot, the either strip out all sexual content, or go overboard and everyone involved just feels slutty and degenerate, when applied to non sexual content it usualy results in things we would dall cringe or try hard

Vei perfected this in the vtuber scene though, her model shows so much skin that it's a wonder she isn't banned, even her pink sweater one is zipped open all the way usualy, she talks about sexual topics all the time, yet when showing a swimsuit, something that is more acceptable in public that a fully zipped down sweatshirt with no bra, she acts embarrassed and feels like a whore.

Many others also base their content on metamodern principles, mel, nyan and silver I feel also include it won't realizing, nyan used to include it in many ways not just related to sexual content, but vei seems to be the only one who still maintains it. And I hope she can keep it up, in other words I hope we see more skin but she never stops feeling like a whore when showing it to us.
