Their logic is probably that the JP business is booming while EN is stagnating. Investors/retards are gonna focus on EN's decline and dump the stock. So Anycolor can just buy their own stock back and continue riding JP's boom for the long term as the stupidest/most short-term minded investors jump ship. Especially if they plan to either fold the EN branch or revitalize it with a massive investment push in the future using JP's profits, it makes sense I suppose.
Though that's like, the most optimistic view of the situation you can have. It's also valid to say they're just desperate and trying to entice investors.
