Oh yeah I wasn't implying it's a health risk or anything, just such an unconventional way of preparing it, and cooking meat in microwave in general seems sussy to me. Bacon is so thin though that I'm not particularly worried about it ending up raw.

True, but they taste good so I don't mind the extra cost, for most things this is how I operate. If it all tastes the same I buy the cheapest option, if I have a preference I get that one, for any product pretty much.
