Stock Watch anon here. It's time for a summary of the Anycolor stock report. I'll provide links at the bottom.

Before we begin, they've interestingly separated their typical report into two PDFS, one for “Financial results of FY2024.4” and the other for “Management policy for Mid-Term Growth” they are for the most part the same size as previous reports, and are mostly the same. There's also a document hosting an announcement regarding shares, which I’ll get to last.

But for context, we’ll first be going over “Financial results of FY2024.4”

PDF 1: Financial Results for FY2024.4 Q4

FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE QUARTER/YEAR
Anycolor has missed their yearly forecast by 3%. This quarter they saw 8.7 billion yen in revenue. Interestingly, no separate charts for the two branches, but they show the real details in the appendix (we'll move to that later).
While Anycolor claimed that Q4 would be their biggest year, that honor still goes to Q1 2024. And while revenue has increased, profits have started to stagnate. For comparison, Anycolor went from 19.7% profit in 2022 to 26.4% in 2023, this time they've only increased by 0.9% for 27.3% net profit. Interestingly, revenues by business areas show that while Commerce, Event, and Promotions saw growth, Livestreaming has taken a small loss.
Direct costs (related to their VTubers i’m assuming) went down, however costs outside of that like spiked due year-end bonuses an office related expenses of their new studio.
For their forecasts for next year, Anycolor expects to see 39 billion yen in profit, a 21.9% increase. They "plan" to stabilize quarterly fluctuations across the fiscal year, as performances like Q1 2024 were heavily weighted.
In Revenue by Business area, Livestreaming saw 16% of Revenue, Promotion saw 18%, and Events saw 6%. Commerce takes the lionshare, with 59% of revenue coming from them.
The Finance section is where you'll find the numbers on how the two branches truly did. I'll keep JP short. They did quite well and it seems NijiJP's failure to get to the west was a blessing in disguise of not getting hit by the NijiEN drama. As for Nijisanji EN...

NIJISANJI EN'S PERFORMANCE
Nijisanji EN this year saw an approximate 24% loss from 2023 to 2024. Going by last year’s quarter, we can now safely say that Selen’s termination led to a 20% decrease compared to last year’s Q4.
Going by last year’s Q4, Livestreaming revenue saw a 35% loss, Promotion revenue saw a 15% loss, and their biggest revenue maker in commerce (I.e merchandising) also saw a 35% loss. However, for the first time, we do see revenue from Events in Nijisanji EN. They however fail to even cover half the losses from the rest of their revenue sources.

PDF 2: Management Policy for Mid-Term Growth.

This is where the reports begin to be repetitive, to keep it brief here are the few notable things featured.
>According to Anycolor, 68% of their fanbase is female, and for age groups 20-29 make up 57% of their fanbase.
>Interestingly, nearly half of their revenue comes from VTubers that debuted in Anycolor’s first two years. With those that debuted in their first year accounting for 30% of revenue.
>Anycolor’s Mid-Term goals currently are to see nearly double in revenue and profit. With generic plans of strengthening their structure, hiring 10-15% more talents, and expect avenge revenue for talents to grow by 10-15%.
>3-5 Million yen are being invested into various projects
>They have approximately 20 billion yen on hand.
>Interestingly they for the first time show policies risks such as reliance on popular talents and reputation risks. Unfortunately it seems they’re response to reputation risks is more compliance training, as well as “strengthened internal controls, such as actions based on findings from third parties.” (potentially a reference to the Raziel/Luca document? This is just my speculation.)

PDF 3: Notice Regarding the Decisions on Matters Related to Stock Repurchase

ANYCOLOR REPURCHASING STOCKS
The most notable thing tonight outside of Nijisanji EN’s performance however, is that Anycolor is once again buying back stocks from tomorrow to August 31st. They will be purchasing up to 4 million stocks, or 6.4% of total issued shares. With a total amount being paid out to be up to 7.5 billion yen. For reference, their January buy-back saw them spend 2.5 billion yen. Do keep in mind however that total stocks/amounts are approximate, and it may be more cheaper/expensive.

TLDR/OVERALL REVIEW
To put in simple metaphorical terms, Anycolor got a D+ for their financial reports. While Nijisanji JP continues to be quite successful, They failed their forecasts, growth is starting to slow and their Overseas is looking dire by the month. The future in my opinion, is looking quite uncertain if they can’t replicate their success outside of their top talents in JP.

(Expectations/prediction regarding the Stock in next post.)

Honestly if we want to reduce the amount of anchors I think OC and Bump can be combined, Kuro isn't needed as it's purely a 2nd News/Rrat anchor. If we cut Kuro and combine the other two then we'd have a nice group of 5 Anchors: with News, OC/Bump, Economics, Local/Board Events, Rrats.
Regarding additional anchors, temporary anchors are the way to go I believe. For big ongoing stories like this MSM debacle a anchor like >>76242874 helps to not clutter the main News anchor with one event. Though the caveat is that something big happens after anchors are already established, but I'd rather have 1 thread derailed to have future thread organized. Though if we do go this route, I recommend we have the Temporary anchors be the first ones seen.
Besides, is there any actual permanent anchors we're in need of? Outside of *maybe* a anchor dedicated to vtuber adjacent creators but that's a big stretch.

Stock Watch anon here, it's time for serious business. We'll be talking about the financial report and then move onto stocks in the next post. This will be less detailed than the report itself, so I implore anyone who has a faint interest in this to read it here, I'm bound to make mistakes due to tiredness. >>75708142
There will be a Overall TLDR in the bottom.

REVENUE

Cover Corp has managed to hit their forecasts for this year, by a margin of 6%. Streaming/Content revenue was up by 20%, while Concerts, Merchandise and Licensing revenue increased between 55%-65%. For the quarter, Cover saw a YoY of 43%.
Profits and Margins have increased overall for the year, despite increased costs this quarter due to merchandising and large scale events.
In short, we've hit the yearly forecast, Q4 2024 is the best quarter ever. Numbers go up revenue and cost wise (but still more profit.)

MEDIUM-LONG TERM STRATEGY

Cover's sale structure has shifted to that of a IP company due to merchandise and licensing revenue increasing, with 56% of revenue coming from those avenues.
Cover plans to expand their audience more trying to enter more into the general anime/weeb market and then general entertaiment, using avenues such as merch, games, anime, etc.

BUSINESS PLAN

Cover's forecast for next year sees them improve by 20% in revenue, with operating, ordinary, net profit ranging from 22-31%.
Cover repeats their plans of tapping into the weeb/anime market as well general entertainment, while also nurturing their core vtuber fandom. They indicate a focus on partnerships/collaborations as well as emphasize that expanding to overseas is important, with merchandise being a core component as mentioned before.
A brief slide is included about their gaming/metaverse ventures, which are decentralized to decrease financial risk. With HoloIndie used for fan works under their IP. Cover is Licensing their IP to game developers.
HoloEarth is still in development in house, with a expansion of a open beta in 2024 executed gradually (invite only I'm assuming?) The project has cost 2 billion yen as of March 2024, with the overall cost impact for next fiscal year to be 500 million yen.

In short, Cover expects to grow more. They're also planning to branch out beyond just vtubing and into general Anime/Weeb industry and eventually just general entertainment. With a major emphasis on overseas growth, user generated content, and merchandise.

MATERIALS FOR GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES AND STRATEGIES
This is a separate segment that's a overview of their strategy and current achievements.
https://contents.xj-storage.jp/xcontents/AS05169/b24f0454/bd82/4657/87ae/668d3e9d7700/20240513134610079s.pdf

The only interesting parts is that it features that 8 of the 10 most popular VTubers are Cover Corp talents, with the 2 exceptions being Kizuna AI and Filian.
There's also a comparison between them and Company A and B (Anycolor and Brave Group) with Cover having more subs, revenue per vtuber compared to the two. With Cover even having nearly 5 times as many 1 million subscriber Channels as Anycolor despite having nearly half the roster as Anycolor.

TLDR: Cover has had a fantastic Q4 and a great fiscal year. With plans to expand not only overseas, but beyond the VTuber market and into the mainstream.

Vladivostok Anon here, let's talk about VRhapsody and Enna's 3D and close this Q4 chapter for now.

Enna's 3D for the most part was average for the most part compared to the 3 we've had so far. Worse than Petra, but slightly better than Rosemi and Millie (With her actually having less SC revenue than Millie.) Due to it's performance It's quite unlikely this will signal any growth for the company compared to 3Ds of Lazulight or even Petra. Overall this was at best a non-factor in any financial situations for the company in this amateur's opinion.

The main event however was Virtual Rhapsody in Singapore, A 2D Karaoke concert featuring 8 NijiEN Talents. The event for the most part has had rather mixed reviews, from the Meet & Greet conditions, stage production, and quite exorbitant prices for the kind of event it was. This coincides that they've also faced harsh comparisons between their competitor Cover's concert at Dreamhack Melbourne. Which was not only cheaper, but featured multiple branches and was in 3D rather than 2D.

As for the attendance, the female part of the performance was quite low based off photos and videos that I could find, though if we're trying to be optimistic some of the photos shown in >>74662211 could've been the pre-show. However it has been reported that the Boys side did have some more people attending. But overall it seems attendance has been subpar, though we can only just guess/estimate the amount of people. (I did see a video of what seems to be a 2 sections to have 4 rows of people from a moment when the boys were singing, though I'm still not confident on their exact numbers.) I will say however, it might've been a actual profit considering the lack of investment it seems.

For the sum of their parts, the two events seem to be at best be a non factor (Enna) or even highlight Anycolor's cheapness/seemingly lack of quality (Virtual Rhapsody). In fact the Yahoo JP board has taken note of the lack of attendance for the female part and someone even posted a comparison of Virtual Rhapsody and Dreamhack.

In conclusion, the financial impact of these events will be likely negligible.
