John Wick's weapon of choice in this movie is the HK P30L V3. The Heckler and Koch P30L V3 is a polymer framed semi automatic Double Action/Single Action hammer fired gun. The P30L is a P30 with a longer slide and barrel, the L standing for longslide. V3 is decocker only, meaning the gun has no manual safety, only a decocker. The early prototypes of the P30 were referred to as the P3000 which was a successor to the P2000 which itself was a successor to the USP. Anyone who says that P2000 or USP is superior to a P30 doesn't know what the fuck they are talking about and are just basing it off of nostalgia. Despite this, the P2000 and USP are still in service today, mainly because HK loves to gouge the civilian market by preying on their nostalgia for guns they saw in videogames and movies. The P30 comes with 17 round magazines standard and features a trigger lever for magazine release, instead of the button found on the grip of most American pistols. P30s are known for their durability, in one torture test, a P30 went over 91,622 rounds fired before the test was stopped. During thoose 91,622 rounds, only 13 stoppages occurred and zero malfunctions were recorded. It's a great gun, but you still shouldn't give money to HK because they are absolute faggots who won't sell their rifles or submachine guns to civilians and instead only chase military contracts so they can artificially jack up the prices on their products. Also their 4.6mm ammo and MP7 lost a NATO trial against 5.7mm ammo and the P90, so the German govt had a bitch fit and complained against adoption, and that's why 4.6 and 5.7 are so expensive now.
