a fat portion of /vt/ and /jp/ hate indies, another portion hates EN in general. From what I can tell the indie hate comes from the sense that it is an intrusion of the mainstream. EN also pokes at this same fear from what I can tell, even before Free Taiwan Coco was easily and still is the least popular of the japanese holos on the boards at least.

Artemis isn't particularily consistent with the types of streams that they have and their schedule can be a bit fucked at times. Also streams pretty often on Twitch and it isn't a very popular platform whatsoever on here, this isn't mentioning their general low energy personality which can bring streams to a crawl and they lacks specific high points in streams to make clips out of. You probably won't find any interesting Artemis clips because of this. They're also not really sexy or a waifu type, just kinda cute. Even the most fervent Artemis antis admit that the design is kinda cute and the bgm is good.

The biggest reason and the most devisive by far is the issue of Artemis's gender. You will take notice that I've referred to Artemis entirely as they and them, that's not because I'm some fucking tranny but because I'm trying to be as neutral as possible. Artemis's voice treads a line that is stradled to the thinnest possible degree, to some people Artemis sounds like any other woman you'd find on the street doing girly shit like eating tampons or pissing while sitting down, to other people Artemis sounds like a horrible abomination muscle man using the avatar of an anime girl to live out his dream fantasies of becoming a woman. This has only been bolstered by the over the top governing of /vt/ in its first few weeks and on going with the eradication of anything even remotely like a dox post. Since Artemis hasn't stated the character is trans, talking about them as such in an Artemis thread is considered dox posting by alot of jannies (I think that's bullshit but makes sense) and this has pissed lots of anons off. There's some twitter shit but this is mostly negligible and it will devolve into rrats if you let other anons spoonfeed you it.

Artemis is by far, the single most hated vtuber on 4chan, not even Nyanners or Judas (the chinese one) compares to the hate Artemis recieves. I also think that this same hate is getting them much more views than they would get normally. As much as the overwhelming hate would tell you otherwise, most people simply do not give a shit about the person behind the avatar, Artemis could be an ex-vietcong war veteran for all I and many other anons could care. The vast amount of hate has without a shadow of a doubt, resulted in at least one more Artemis fan that will never reveal themselves. Artemis averages around 10-20 K views for her most recent videos and 40-50 K from the older ones. I'm shit at math and I pulled the word average out of my ass as such, however, those are large numbers if not respectable for an EN indie vtuber, has there been a decline? I don't know go ask a fucking calculator. They are typically one of the bigs of the collabs they enter and bigger vtubers are vaugely starting to notice them. Me in general? I don't do that anti shit whatsoever. Artemis isn't my oshi, I watch them sometimes but I decided during her birthday stream that Himemori Luna was my oshi. Was this unessecarily long and really autistic? Yeah, but I can't enter a single fucking Artemis thread without getting the same three words spammed twenty times between actual content which is usually a different variation or response to the same three letters with more words. So fuck you.
