a train, once moving, can keep moving so fast that it fills a space with smoke, leaving any other trains at a significant disadvantage covering old smoke infested previously used ground.
v-tubing could've been male dominated. one only needs to look as far as kpop to see cute asian men can become a sensation worldwide. but it didn't, for a variety of reasons.

is right. anime girls are cute. but that's not enough to explain this discrepancy, it's enough to allow this discrepancy to arise. in much the same way anime didn't have to dominate the world, yet it has undeniable value tied up in being japanese. we could live in a world where capeshit dominated the animation industry propelling america into #1 animator culturally, and japanese animation would still have many cool and unique elements, though it wouldn't be nearly as massive.

tl;dr: a valuable thing can gain massive momentum setting new expectations which hamper other competition in the same general area as said valuable thing. there is a cultural standard taking place valuing female v-tubing over male v-tubing much like the valuation of anime as some super unique animation style.
