Hololive always tries to change things up so that the audience doesn't get bored.
There's a reason none of the sportsfes games got reused. Even though fans would've been fine with it, the organizers would be worried about it giving off the image of them being "lazy".
And when they ran out of steam organizing this thing for 2-3 years with so many different variations, they decided to not do one next year.
HoloEarth gets released next year, so there'll be a lot of room for new arcs in there.
Also late December - early March is gonna be Holofes preparation months. So a lot of their time will be spent on that.

Shitposts should be done on their own merit, either to have fun with something happening on streams or to make another fanbase seethe.
