Didn't want to start a new thread so I figured I'd ask here.
To the point: What is your take on the massive popularity of western vtubers?

Long version: I was big on vtubers back when they first came out starting with Kizuna Ai, but I just kind of stopped watching them after a while. Then all of a sudden I hear about a Shark that amassed over a million in only a few months. I tried watching some of her streams, but they're just not for me. Which is why I'm asking you guys here.
