I think the reason why saplings are having a melty is because even people who absolutely suck at games in EN like Gura, Mori, Bae, Ina, etc. managed to do better in Souls games and other Souls likes than Fauna who has the title of gamer of EN. If none of those other Holos ever touched these games then saplings would probably just say that Souls games weren't for her and that would be that. But now they feel like she's being absolutely curbstomped by girls who are supposedly much worse than her and that hurts them.
