I use GIMP for making the birthday card itself and image edits, but it feels very obtuse for actually drawing pictures. Never had problems losing progress with it

Is photoshop a good drawing program? I thought it was just for image manipulation. I've had this sitting in my downloads folder for over a year but never had a use for it because I was accustomed to GIMP. But if it's good for drawing, I'll crack it open.
