>Well if there are a lot of english speaking people there I just might! Only ever been around burgerland and the EU.
It's definitely better than having to play charades or hoping that google translate doesn't screw up what you wanted to say.

>I wonder if I should try visiting Philippines sometime. I haven't really been interested in going to SEA after living there for a few years as a child though.
It's worth going at least once. Check out the beaches at Boracay or indulge in the rapidly growing commercial center that is BGC. The locals were friendly and accommodating. I'm starting to feel like a travel agent kek
>Thailand I just don't have any desire to go to, feels like I'd have to be too on guard to enjoy myself.
I feel like that's just a common thing when it comes to SEA countries. Even in the Philippines or Malaysia, I always make sure I have a hand in my pocket. I suggest buying a shoulder bag that almost everyone seems to be wearing. It's like a fanny pack, but you wear it over your shoulder.
>Japan is interesting though, pretty much the only non European country I really want to visit in my lifetime.
I enjoyed my time in Japan. Unlike any other countries I've visited. I was supposed to go there again for the first week of my vacation to see the sakura trees bloom, but the tickets doubled in pricing to around $2k... Will have to try and book them earlier for next year.

Artist here, I've always been interested in technology in general and AI in particular. As some of the other anons have already stated, AI is a tool. To me, it's simply yet another program to use alongside the likes of Substance Painter and Maya/Blender.
Many of those with an anti-AI stance tend to argue how AI art is "soulless" because of how quickly one can make it, therefore it shouldn't count as art. Honestly, the average person could care less whether or not you added more strokes to a work or smudged colors together just right way, or whether it took you 45 mins or several hours completing a single piece. If they see something that's visually pleasing to them, then they'll like it without much of a thought on the process.
This whole argument of what is "soulless" or not just comes from one's own ego. I've been in a couple of artist circles in the past and there definitely is an overabundance of ego that you have to deal with. A lot of snobbery and mocking of their own fellow artists for not being on their level. So, when a tool comes along that allows your average joe to quickly churn out art that rivals or even surpass anything they can make, of course they'd be dismissive of AI.
