Okayu and Korone laughed and ran over the familiar city roads, this time with Okayu in the lead and Korone following. This time they weren't running for their lives. No guards or machines looking to catch them.

Just the wind, beautiful sunny skies and fresh smell of clean air filling their nostrils.

It had taken a lot, but just as Korone said, they had not ever returned to that lab. For years they ran, struggled and fought tooth and nail to keep their earned freedom.

And keep it they did.

As they were running, however, Korone stopped for a moment. Looking back, she saw tears falling down from her face but a smile across her lips.

“It’s been so long but… but we did it… right, Okayu?”

“Mhm, but you can’t just stop Korone, we’re in this together… right?” she said as she gave the dog girl a huge grin and extended her hand. Happily Korone took it and they two took off, looking off towards their bright new future that awaits.
