the resources are less of a concern, most of the parts I'm using are unlocked... I think after Balteus or even before, aside from the mech parts which are picked more for looks than maximized functionality (the big exception being the boosters, generator and FCS, which I thin kare all loghunt unlocks)
it's mostly the OS tuning, mainly the better heals and since I use a mix of energy, missile and melee so that eats up an incredible amount of OS chips just to max out the dps
