I don't know how to describe it properly but this felt real nice to read. It kinda reminds me of the kids books I used to read when I was younger, not that I used to read books on displacement and genocide but more of how the fic was structured and told; it was comforting to read in an odd sense. I'm not sure if that was your intention but I really enjoyed this.

Also that's one hell of a segway in a cover high spin-off/sequel, got an audible gasp outta me. Also made me remember that Ayame is meant to be a student council president. Really looking forward to what else you got in store.
