I used to think the same for their first 6 months, then they moved in together and i watched Coco slowly go crazy for my oshi, it wasn’t rare at all to watch one of her 2 hour-long zatsudans and hear her talk about Kanata the entire stream.
I don’t really see any hololive pairing as romantic, usually because it either feels like 2 friends who just like each other and enjoy hanging around together, it feels forced or there’s 0 roommate indication that either of them actually like women.
None of these things apply to these 2.
You won’t really understand what i’m saying unless you’ve watched their friendship since the beginning and how much it has changed after 12 months, Kanata is more reserved mainly because she’s very self-conscious about her channel’s content, Coco on the other hand is very open and talks about everything they do.
I’ve heard her say too many weird things by now to just dismiss it as just a friendship.
In the end it doesn’t really matter because even if they were dating they would never publicly announce it, too much to lose and very little to gain, plus it’s nobody’s business.

Not in her relationship with her fans though, she loves stalking on twitter and egosearching.
