The thing with this is that Mythic is rather young (I know it has the same shareholders as OTK, and they are part of the same group Creative media or some shit with some of the same investors), it's rather an experiment at this point, and unlike VShojo, who has some room in the market for a while now, it's rather unknown the fate that it will come.
Other thing is that even if Filian said that Mythic is like having a spambot of merch stuff, is rather up to the talent choice to do stuff, and not like they approach them as a unit like these teams. Like for example Shylily, she wanted to appear on a con by herself, and she had to contact Mythic in order for them to work on it, which guessing by how VShojo has kinda work for a while, it seems like they rather just let them know of them wanting to do conventions, instead of them asking for a specific convention.
For some people that doesn't matter, so Mythic allows you to avoid that.
