Hello ruffians!
Thanks to your encouragement I started with my Nihongo learning journey!
DAY 51: Today I've done my anki and grammar reps. For anki I've done 10 new cards today. For grammar I've read lesson 32: Appearances and Hearsay. That was the last lesson in the "Japanese the Manga Way" grammar guide, I've finished reading it! Did I understand everything: YES, you don't even have to know English grammar well, everything is well explained; did I remember everything: NO, but that's fine. My understanding is that now, when I read about and encounter some of the basic Japanese grammar, I will hopefully recognize it when I come upon it. Even if I don't recall it immediately, I can always check it out again in this or some other grammar guides. Now it's time to start studying for real (I already said this after I finished learning kana, let's see when will I say it next time): immersion. I'll just copy/paste my thoughts from my last blogpost:
>I'm reading advice from different guides about what is the best thing to start your immersion with. Watching j dramas/anime, playing visual novels, reading manga; watching streams, clip channels with JP subtitles... all of them have their pros and cons. I know that in the big picture I need to "JUST DO IT" and finally start immersing with something, it will be really hard whatever I choose. I will, for sure, I promised myself I will begin at the start of October at the latest, but I still like to do some research before committing to something.
>That's why I'm asking if you have any advice about what to choose as a first thing to immerse myself with? What did you start with? Do you think it's good thing to start with or would you change anything if you could start over again?
匿名さん助言を仰いでいただけませんか?Well, this was my attempt of politely asking for advice from you anons, DeepL gave much simpler solution 匿名さん アドバイスをお願いします。
Fuwawa solo stream was interestingly dangerous experience, but two is better than one, so I look forward to comfy FUWAMOCO OoT stream.
BAU BAU!
