It seems like everyone as said what pretty much needed to be said for why this falls flat.

- subject matter/ lyrics of the song.
- sinder's tone.
- execution on try to convert the son to the metal genre.
And how these parts don't really mix well at all.

And if you are familiar with the song either in 2 camps.
group A: didn't care for the original and hate this cover just as much.
group B: you liked the original and think sinder's cover made it sound worse.

It would be like if CDawg decided to make a reggaeton cover of a Hollywood Undead song (let's say the song "bitches", "everywhere i go", or "pigskin") and used his monotoned sultry British daddy voice for the whole song. that would be bizarre to say the least.
