Here is one of the reasons people bang on the "consistency" key, and at the same time, why Pekora is one of the highest ranked vtubers with regards to live audience.

Pekora
>I usually start streaming from 9PM, or sometimes like 8PM or 10PM
Chat
>We can easily know when you take a day off because 'Ryokai, Peko" (Roger that, Peko) will always get trending
Pekora
>Oh yeah, that's really funny
>Everytime I tweet "Guys, I'm sorry, I'm going to take the day off today" then you guys always reply to me
>Ryokai, Peko!
>Ryokai, Peko!
>Ryokai, Peko!
>so it ends up trending on Twitter

>That makes me laugh
>"Tanoshimi, Peko!" (Waiting eagerly (for the next stream), Peko!) also gets trending sometimes!
It's in this clip, from the part A of her stream
>Pekora's off day will always get trending on Twitter

That's something often discussed in this thread but these tidbits always serve as proof.

1) Pekora has a consistent schedule going back almost four years now
2) She ALWAYS communicate her streams in advance, even going to the trouble to post an "empty" waiting room when she knows when she'll be streaming even if she doesn't know *what* she'll be streaming
3) she ALWAYS communicate her absences in advance

Her audience expects that. She delivers that.
That's why she can drop a "special" stream like today's and 75k+ people will turn up.
There are certain things that are ZERO COST and all reward. Proper communication is one of those.
