she was here
the spring in my step
so bright and so clear
she was here, before me

now it is quiet
the light has gone dark
she left.
again.

but I remain


for sometime soon,
she will be back
the light of my life,
the breath in my lungs

in and out
she comes and goes
and with her presence,
so do my woes.
