What do we have now? Argument after argument, doompost after doompost sorry!, and a whole host of things that are aggravating. No wonder so many people have stopped visiting, it's depressing just to catch up on the thread, let alone take part.
No, this is not me suggesting that you abandon the thread. I'm only saying that we are not in a good state and I don't think it will get better. I would say no. Even if they are welcome again, so many people have had it drilled into them that they must not partake in either of those things. It probably won't make a full return. It would be nice to once again have mikofag's blogs on precious metals and trading, handegg's obnoxious but soulful football larp, joe's gosling reverence, smart fandead's perseverance, romanceanon's kind advice, konnui's ability to make people seethe, nenep's routine retardation, HPT's & Financivial's company roleplay, countless loreposts, and so much more, but they aren't all going to come back, are they? I hate it, but they aren't all coming back. Not together at least. You could try and force some conversation, but it will never ever be the same.
