You're probably not wrong, but, like you said, they still should do it, just based on the rationale that they'll be directing the clipfags to the channels that actually produce the content they consume, and not some clipping leech. And while it'll be hard to change the average normie's perception in the short term, if they stick with it over the course of the months and years that they stream and curate a diverse selection of highlights, I honestly believe that a fair amount of the damage can be undone.
