Pretty much. Outside a few select countries it's rarely promoted. And even then it's nothing in comparison to North & South America, or even SEA. Also liking anime here is shunned upon more than countries over there. In NA liking anime is now seen as a geeky hobbie. In europe liking anime brand you as a freak and a pedophile. People just stick to regular twitch streamers instead of Vtubers.
