I think it's just a preference thing some people enjoy the total flat style NAI others don't. I am one of those who prefer your model stuff better. That being said can't argue that it can do a ton of concepts off the bat which is tempting (I don't have it though and never plan on getting it). Now that we have something like that on Local though with LoRAs and mixing we can probably take it pretty far.
The Pony guy was just on /h saying the next model he trains will have 10M image dataset, so we get something crazy with that one.
