It seems like they have a rush to do accomplish things "before it's too late". Which implies that they are overall on a downhill, capacity decreasing, problems accumulating. Mococo's allergies (and probably other autoimmune-related sickness) means they are probably in lot of emotional pain to the point it affects physiology. Their exceptionally hardworking attitude is a coping mechanism against increasing depression. Another sign of depression is the disinterest in modern entertainment and living in the past. They are in rush because they know or anticipate that things won't be sustainable, so they want to go all-out to do as many things as possible without regrets. Of course they would prefer to find a balance, but they have mostly given up on it. Hope and hopelessness could also be a fluctuating thing.
