For tuxedo's, the best way to describe the feeling they put off is "you just know." The tie needs to be more black if not a bow-tie, and the tone for it needs to be darker and more form-fitting. If you're looking for references for "woman wearing menswear" for tuxedo's the best reference is without a doubt Marlene Deitrich. You can make a few changes here and there. Oh, French cuffs are also a must, menswear gets few enough chances for accessories already and cufflinks are a go to. And shirt-studs since most dress shirts for tuxedos are closed with those rather than buttons.

Marlene Deitrich really is peak "woman in tux" though.
