I can't remember when I joined in but it was early on, it has been a strange but fun way to pass time but then; what keeps us here is the vtubers, what we're doing or the dynamic we've fallen into really reminds me of the Troubadour tradition of finding a Woman whom you would espouse and otherwise promote and perform ballads in praise of them. With this mode of communication, It's a lot more dense with feeling and creativity. One could look at it all as another manifestation of disconnect but what kept my interest beyond finding sincere feelings for them is that I see this as actually being about re-connection between people. Finding out why we want that in the first place and renewing our appreciation for the Feminine. That's what ultimately makes me proud to be a part of /lig/.
