the golden age was before holoidolshit era. No one knew how high the talents would take the content and technology. People were still bringing something new to the table from mocap to VR and advancements in live2d. No one also set the standard for content so people were anticipating variety youtube video content from stunts, how-to's, and media reviews. There was wonder and discovery. But now it's lazy stream content bogged down by permissions and everyone knows what's going to happen. The tech downgraded to mostly 2d and and its just poor game streaming while collecting donations for almost every vtuber
