Again, not that long.
But if you go in trying to get good because you want to make money it's ogre mate, you won't last. Drawing's about self improvement to the core, and if you have an eye for art nothing you do will look good for a long ass time.

That's exactly it tako. You think your art sucks because you can tell it's supposed to be better, and learning to identify how it can be better lets you improve.

Best advice I ever saw
Do your best and draw what you want to draw.

This is the most important thing to keep in mind to avoid the NGMI state.

Here's something that might help you out, tako. Let's be clear, you've been drawing less than a month. Improvement requires a massive volume of work, and a month is nothing. But if your art looks bad, that is, you can see that your art is wrong, then that's a good thing. Because that feeling never really goes away and the day it does is the day you can improve no longer.

It's unironically some of the most important art advice you can get. People who get into art in early childhood are lucky because they're too stupid to know their art is bad, so they don't get discouraged while they're getting better.

Ah
That sucks and it never goes away, but it's not a bad thing, look at it like this: It just means you know in your head you can do better. The second you're 100% satisfied with what you make is the second you stop improving.

I don't know! I guess I do now!
But anyway what I'm getting at is that learning the quirks of digital art could trip you up when you're starting out, so don't be afraid to just scribble on paper. Even if you intend to learn digital, the paper skills transfer pretty much 100%. No matter what you go with, have fun.
